2. Clean the test surface:-

5.Record the results:- 

The time it takes for the ultrasonic waves to travel from one transducer to the other is called the pulse velocity. The pulse velocity should be recorded for each test point.

6. Repeat the test at multiple locations:- 

 The UPV test should be repeated at multiple locations on the concrete structure. This will help to identify any areas of weakness or damage.

7.Interpret the results:-

 The pulse velocity results can be used to assess the quality of the concrete. In general, higher pulse velocities indicate better quality concrete. However, it is important to note that the pulse velocity can also be affected by other factors, such as the age of the concrete and the presence of reinforcement.
